RHCS encourages students to express their thoughts and feelings through the visual arts, music, and drama. Elementary students have a special art class every other week. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade attend weekly music classes where they learn the fundamentals of music and performing.
The Art Curriculum at Rose Hill Christian School is designed to develop student knowledge of art materials, art history, art techniques, art vocabulary, and art processes. As students progress through the art program, they are exposed to more advanced artistic techniques and materials. Each year art students in grades 3-12 participate in the ACSI Regional Art Festival. In the past years, RHCS students have received superior or excellent awards and many have received “Best of the Show” in their respective age groups.
The Music curriculum at Rose Hill Christian School is designed to provide a musical education which develops the spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and artistic well-being of all students. The elementary students present at least one musical/drama each year. They perform at various school events throughout the year. High school students have the opportunity to participate in praise and worship in weekly chapel services. A select group of students form the elementary ensemble which performs in the community as well as being featured at school events.
