Intermediate

Our intermediate grades continue the growth of the Mind. The objective in these grades is to emphasize keen academic fundamentals while stressing spiritual growth in the lives of the students. Our aim is to equip each child spiritually, training them according to God’s Holy Word in a well-rounded educational experience.

Upper elementary students expand their knowledge in the basic areas of reading, writing, and math, while broadening their horizons in science, social studies, computer skills, and Spanish. Instruction in Bible, art, music, and P.E., plus a weekly chapel program, rounds out the student’s educational experience. There are many opportunities for extracurricular activities, including participation in the school’s award-winning choir. A-Team, the elementary leadership group, gives interested students many occasions to gain confidence in public speaking and leading their peers.

Our aim is to prepare the students for the next level of learning and give them a foundation – not only academically but spiritually – for a high level of success that cannot be offered in a public school environment. We teach students from a Christian world view, showing them not only the love of Christ but His authority over all creation.

A well-rounded curriculum provides high-level math, science, reading and writing skills along with history (local, state, national and world). A daily Bible class underscores the importance and emphasis on God’s Word toward academic development. Enrichment classes in art, music, computer, physical education, Spanish and library skills are taught weekly. The Accelerated Reader Program encourages students to improve their reading and writing skills in a competitive and fun environment.
